We purchased your viola from Ron Sachs about two months ago. The tone quality and the dynamic range impress me more every day as the instrument and musician come together! I have heard whispers about “The Koberling” from other violist that play with my son. His instructors insisted we invest in a professional quality instrument that would allow him to grow and cautioned that student quality instruments were holding him back. Six professionals in all have evaluated him and the instrument in both his orchestras and privately and every word about “The Koberling” has been the highest praise. This viola is in the hands of a young man that loves it and they are going places together. Thank you for a very fine viola and keep up the good work.
In two short months the pair, viola and musician, have played in a lot of special places. He played a solo performance with “The Koberling” of Christmas carols for the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Christmas services in Greensboro, North Caroling, USA. The church goers asked him to stay after the service and play more for them. The sound was very moving in their cathedral and brought a lot of joy. The viola has been featured with my son in the role of a duet with the full philharmonic honors orchestra at his school. They are one of the highest rated youth orchestras in the United States. It has been on stage with the Gwinnett County Youth Orchestra which is a highly competitive youth orchestra in the Atlanta, Georgia USA area. He will be playing it in Savannah, Georgia next week for the Georgia Music Educators Association conference. In March he will be traveling to Washington DC to play at our nation’s capital.
